Following, the deterioration of the crane at the Shroppie Fly pub we now have plans to commence the removal of the crane from site on Monday 25th February. A replacement crane will be fabricated at one of our repair yards to be fitted back on site in late spring.
The water point and towpath will be made accessible again as soon as the crane has been removed from site.
Description
Due to the deterioration of the crane at the Shroppie Fly pub we have had to close the towpath for safety reasons. Boats over 50ft will not be able to access the waterpoint by the Shroppie Fly pub.
The nearest water point for boats over 50ft will be at lock 13.
