Regretfully, the works to remove the dangerous section of the warehouse canopy overhanging the Towpath, have suffered a short delay. Works are now targeted to commence on the 8th September with the Towpath due to re-open on Monday 10th September.
The delay has been attributed to further health and safety assessments being necessary, to ensure the safety of those undertaking the work. Access to the area will be restricted to weekends, as businesses working during the week operate close by.
We appreciate the inconvenience this is causing to local residents. We are working closely with the Local Planning Authority to ensure the Towpath is re-opened safely and as quickly as possible.
