Repair works at Lock 39 have been deferred until winter 2019 to release funds so that more urgent arising works across the Region can be completed this winter.
However, the repairs to Lock 38 will go ahead as planned.
Please be aware, as a result, the duration of the closure will be reduced by three weeks and will now finish on 23rd November.
Description
Lock 38 - repair bottom gates. Replace kickers on the quadrant. Install approach bollards and improve the lock ladder.
Lock 39 - repair top and bottom gates. Install approach bollards and improve the lock ladder.
