The navigation closure is to allow for repairs to the collapsed washwall and copers within Whitehouses Tunnel.
Please be aware it will also be necessary to close the towpath through the tunnel between 9am and 3pm, daily, during the works. This is to protect pedestrians from air borne dust resulting from the sandblasting of the tunnel towpath handrails.
