Following the unexpected extension of the duration of the stoppage at Lock 13 (Cheddleton Top Lock), we have decided to delay the start date of the stoppage at Bridge 23 until Friday, 1st March. This will allow a window of 1.5 days (from midday on Wednesday 27th February) when the navigation will remain open for boaters.
The end date of the stoppage will not be affected as our construction team will work additional hours in order to complete the bridge repairs within the shorter timescale.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this late change of dates may cause.
