Water levels are recovering well and the restriction will be lifted at 11am on Saturday 21 October.

Levels on the summit are slowly recovering, but currently not enough to remove the navigation restriction.
Locks 54 and 55 will be open daily from 11am to 1pm until further notice to let craft cross the summit.
Please be aware that lower than normal water levels are affecting pounds between locks 50 - 64.
This notice will be updated by 1pm on Wednesday 18th October.
Description
Low water levels in the Summit Pound (lock 54 to 55) have made navigation and mooring on the summit pound difficult. While we try to recover water levels, restricted opening hours will be put in place.
The locks will be open daily from 11am to 1pm until further notice to let craft cross the summit. This notice will be updated by 1pm on Tuesday 17th October.
