Description
Due to emergency repairs being carried out to damaged deal boards at Castleford Weir, (causing low river levels), the navigation will be closed between Castleford Lock and Lemonroyd Lock and between Castleford Lock and Woodnook Lock.
The water levels will begin to be lowered, by approximately 1 metre, starting at 6am on Tuesday 26th September. It is anticipated the levels will return to normal at 9pm on 27th September.
We will update this notice if the situation changes.
