In order to undertake the repairs to the ground paddles at Lock 64 we need to temporarily lower the water level above the lock.
We are planning to drop the water level by 300mm from noon on Tuesday 12th September until 5pm on Wednesday 13th September.
For clarity, this will mean a drop in the water level in the pound between locks 63 and 64.
For boats moored in this area, please loosen mooring ropes and push off the bank to avoid listing.
Thank you for your cooperation as we undertake this important repair work.
Please also note that, as per our previous notice, Lock 64 itself will be closed to boat traffic from 8am on Tuesday 12th September. It will re-open at 6pm on Wednesday 13th September.
