The water levels here have improved slightly and our teams are still continuing to work on them. Boats are asked to proceed with caution when navigating the sections between lock 1E – 9E, ensuring that paddles are closed after use.

Our teams are still working throughout the day on the low water levels in the area which are unfortunately not yet recovered.
An update will be posted at 3pm today.

Although we have been working all day to restore the water levels, unfortunately they are not yet fully recovered.
We are hopeful that during the night the levels will restore themselves.
An update will be posted at 10am tomorrow morning.
Description
Following water loss overnight between lock 1E – lock 9E on the Huddersfield Narrow canal, our teams are working to restore the levels in the canal throughout the day.
