Lock 8, Bosley, Macclesfield Canal

Due to the very high number of leak sealing resin grouting projects delivered nationwide throughout this year's national programme, the planned works at Lock 8 unfortunately cannot be completed during the closure of the Bosley flight.

Other improvement works are in progress across the  flight, which remains closed until 2nd March. 

This lock will continue to be monitored by our teams.  The grouting works are now expected to be completed next Winter 2018/19.

The dates have been revised to allow a window for navigation on 3rd/4th February across this and all closures in the area, in response to customers' comments.
