Further to our update last week, we will be opening the navigation at Junction Lock as expected, at 4pm tomorrow, Wednesday 21st March.
The coping stones still need to be installed and this will be completed once the navigation is open. The work will be carried out from a craneboat within the lock. Please be aware there may be a delay of 30 minutes for boats going through the lock to allow us to move the craneboat safely out of the way for your passage.
Two areas of the lock side will be fenced off where our equipment is located but these areas will not affect the operation of the lock.

There is major flooding on the River Soar in this area and the repair works at Junction Lock 47 have been severely hampered as a result.
The local team will be working over the weekend and it is hoped the work can be completed, site de-mobilised and the navigation re-opened by 4pm on Wednesday 21st March.
We will do everything we can to reduce this timescale and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused.
