Lock 2, 3 and 4, Hurleston Locks, Llangollen Canal.

To reline gates and extend lock ladders at Locks 2 and 3.

Works will also include a full dimensional survey of Lock 4 to facilitate design of the repair solution to widen the chamber.  These repairs are due to be undertaken in Winter 2018/19. Further site investigation works will also be carried out to confirm ground conditions and to undertake an inspection of the lock invert.

Following customer feedback, we have reviewed the timing of this closure and the work will now be carried out during November/December 2017.  This is to minimise the disruption for the majority of local users, although it is appreciated some may be inconvenienced by the change of dates.
