Railway Bridge, Consall Forge, Caldon Canal

Further to our earlier update, we confirm the repairs to the walkway at Railway Bridge, Consall Forge, will start at stated on Monday, 19th February.

Our apologies once again for any inconvenience caused by the delay to the original start date.

We would like to apologise that it has not yet been possible to start the repairs to the walkway, as originally planned, and the navigation will remain open to at least 19th February 2018.

Further investigations are required to establish the most effective design and methodology before work will start on site.  The delayed start will not impact on the end date of the closure.

We will issue a further update as soon as more information is available and once again apologise for the delay and any inconvenience this has caused.
