Shipton Lock 41, Oxford Canal

Due to unexpected issues with our supply chain, the work to repair the lock gates has been delayed.  Our local team and Contractors have been working together to recover the lost time, however we need to extend the stoppage until 4pm om Saturday 25 March to enable the works to be completed.

We apologise for the delay and thank you for your patience whilst we complete these essential repairs.

Please be advised Shipton Lock 41 on the Oxford Canal will be closed to navigation from 9am Wednesday 15th March until 4pm Friday 24th March.

This is to allow emergency lock gate repairs to be carried out.

Please be advised the lock gates at Shipton Lock 41 on the Oxford canal have become difficult to operate. This is due to damage to the cill on the bottom gate.

Repairs are being planned to take place as soon as possible.
