Gas pipe running adjacent to Holloway Bank Basin Bridge, approximately 90 metres West of Holloway Bank Road Bridge on the North towpath.

Due to the discovery of a leak on the gas pipe, repair works are now being undertaken before the paintworks can be completed. This means that the scaffolding will now be in place until the end of April.

Alfred Bagnall & Sons Limited on behalf of National Grid will be repainting the gas pipe that runs alongside the basin bridge. An encapsulated scaffolding will be erected from the canal bed to facilitate the works.  The navigation & towpath will remain open although short delays may be encountered during the scaffolding erection/dismantle procedures. Towpath & navigation users will be safely managed past the works during these periods.

When the scaffolding is erected there will still be ample space for boats to pass safely.
