The charity making life better by water

Meet Terry, Sian, Chloe & Jasmine at Gloucester Docks

Family enjoying Gloucester Docks

We come here all the time, so we know the best benches to sit on. Today we've literally just popped in here for an hour to get a coffee and sit by the water before we head off somewhere else.

The kids like it here – Chloe and Jasmine have seen some boats and some ducks. We usually see some swans, but we haven't seen them today though.

I think we probably come at least once a month to have a walk around by the waterside or to go shopping in the Gloucester Quays. It's a great place to come shopping for things like the kids' shoes.

Gloucester Docks

A few weekends ago they had a story tent here for the children. It was a bit like a little library tent. The kids really enjoyed themselves and we had coffee by the water while they were busy in the story tent.

We used to cycle a lot before the children arrived, but now we mostly walk because it's easier. We live near the canal just outside Gloucester so we walk along the canal regularly. Sometimes we travel a bit further, and quite often we go for little walks at Saul Junction, but mostly we just like to use our local stretch of canal in Quedgeley where we live.
