Golf buggies dumped in local canal

Two golf buggies have been found dumped in the Grand Union Canal near Kings Langley.

Golf Buggy in Grand Union Canal

We discovered both buggies fully submerged blocking the canal. In what can only be described as ‘below par' driving by vandals who decided to joy ride the buggies along the canal, we now have the job of finding out who owns the buggies and removing them from the canal.

Lee King, from the Trust, said: "Clearly these buggies have been stolen by some local yobbo's and, just for fun, they were then dumped in the canal. Luckily no one was hurt but we now have to work out how best to remove them from the canal which will cost the Trust time and money, money that should be spent looking after the waterways The buggies are also likely to be written off as mixing water with anything mechanical never really ends well."
