Consultation on proposed development of the wider Sharpness Docks Estate

We are inviting people to view proposals for the development of the wider Sharpness Docks estate, ahead of the submission of a planning application later this spring. This follows earlier consultations and is an opportunity to come and look at further details of the proposals.

The proposals are for a mixed-use development encompassing land beyond the existing dock operations and including:

  • Leisure and tourism development
  • Up to 300 new homes
  • New marina development
  • Land for new industrial and warehouse development
  • New community facilities
  • New green and recreational space

The consultation event will take place on Tuesday 28 February, from 2-8pm, at Sharpness Village Hall (GL13 9NA). Alternatively, you can visit the project website www.sharpnessdock.wordpress.com

James Lazarus, our head of property development, says: "The Sharpness Docks estate has a rich history, there is a chance to build on this and we feel the proposals offer a great mix of new homes, green space, community facilities and improvements to the waterways. We hope the development will bring new opportunities, activities and jobs to the area. We've consulted with the local community throughout our work on the proposed development and wanted to make sure people had a further chance to comment prior to us submitting the planning application. I'd encourage anyone interested to visit us next Tuesday or see the plans on our project website."
