Merry Christmas everyone!

We’re into the swing of Santa Cruises at the Museums & Attractions. They're going down a snow storm, as evidenced by this quote from a recent email.

“Had to e-mail and let you know what an absolutely fantastic time we had at the Santa Cruise yesterday. From start to finish was just amazing, the dedication of your people is second to none. . . the best Santa I have ever seen, it was as if he WAS Santa, my son took to him straight away . . . Thanks so much and we will definitely be doing it all again next year.”

December however, is not just about Christmas for the education team. We are currently working really hard to promote school visits to our Museums & Attractions. We have been getting out into schools delivering free workshops and encouraging teachers to book visits with us in 2014. I had a lovely surprise on Friday, when I turned up to a school who were celebrating National Christmas Jumper Day! Who knew!

I have some exciting projects lined up for January. The first is a lantern festival in Ellesmere Port, tying in with Chinese New Year, which this year is the year of the horse. I also have a fantastic schools programme for Anderton Boat Lift getting off the ground with a teachers work group day in early January.

I’m going to leave you with a bit of a teaser! 2014 is going to be a year of huge personal challenge for me – I’m hoping to inspire some of you to join me for part of that challenge, all for a good cause! Look out for my January blog when I’ll tell you all about it – eek!
