Angler at Clattercote Reservoir Clattercote Reservoir

Clattercote is one of the midlands' most popular match venues and is usually busy with anglers at the weekends. It is quieter mid-week with plenty of space for pleasure anglers, but always check the notice board on arrival for latest information.

The principal species at Clattercote is carp which range in size from 3 or 4lbs right up to 30lbs. They can be caught on a variety of methods and in the evening patrol very close to the water’s edge. The second most abundant species is bream which can be caught on the bottom, particularly when the weather is cloudy. There are plenty of tench which feed best from April through to October. There is also a massive head of roach which are not often fished for. The venue record is 2lbs 10oz, a fish of a lifetime for a serious roach angler. In the winter months Clattercote is a popular venue with pike anglers and has produced fish to 26lbs

There is a portable toilet on site.
