Montgomery Canal photo exhibition on tour

The 2019 Montgomery Canal photo exhibition brings together shots taken by members of the local community and beyond, and offers a great selection of photos, depicting a canal being widely used for a range of recreational activities.

There are also amazing views of the “Monty”, a section about narrowboats built and decorated by young people, and of course, the traditional panel dedicated to restoration, with the focus this year being on the winding hole, a turning point for narrowboats, at Crickheath.

The exhibition is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund as part of the restoration of the Montgomery Canal in Shropshire.
