A luminaire of iconic structures along the 11-mile corridor of the Dee Valley’s World Heritage site near the Llangollen Canal will mark the tenth anniversary since the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct was awarded the UNESCO World Heritage Status in 2009.
Each of the following unique sites will be lit up for two hours each evening:
See the canal in a different light. Watch as each site comes to life under the cover of darkness - explore all five structures along the stretch of the Llangollen Canal from Llangollen to Chirk, within the Clwydian Range & Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Expert lighting provided by Enlightened of Bristol.
This event has been organised by the Trust, with Clwydian Range & Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Wrexham County Borough Council and Denbighshire County Council as part of the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Canal World Heritage Site anniversary celebrations.
