It will start with an ascend to reach the local village of Pant, from where you have a great view of a superb example of a Hoffman Kiln. Then a stroll down towards the canal where you will see what restoration volunteers have achieved, the first step towards the re-opening of a dry section of the canal.

Be sure to arrive 10 minutes early, and suitable footwear recommended as it could be muddy.

This walk is offered in partnership with The Friends of the Montgomery Canal, and funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

For those who wish to join the Friends of the Montgomery Canal for lunch, they need to get in touch with Alan, the walk leader on 0745 295 6344, before 25 April.
