Come and visit Dukes Lock in Manchester as part of our winter open days programme.
Lock 92 along the Rochdale Canal is the last lock before joining the Rochdale Canal to the Bridgewater Canal at Castlefield Junction.
Fun fact: It is called Duke's Lock as it was originally owned by the Duke of Bridgewater.
Over this exciting weekend, the lock will be drained so that gates can be relined. This will ad 10 years of life onto the gates. This means you'll be able to walk in the drained lock chamber, a rare opportunity.
We'll also be offering canoeing for visitors to try out.
