Join the Friends of Gloucester Waterways Museum for their 2019 series of talks, starting with Roy Murphy from the Droitwich Historical Society and his talk 'Salt Producer to Spa Town (Droitwich).
This of course refers to the town of Droitwich, whose salt production created a major export for Gloucester Docks. Indeed an alternative name for the Victoria Basin in the Gloucester Docks is the Salt Basin.
Talks are free to Friends of the Gloucester Waterways Museum and £2 to the general public. Talks, take place regularly, on Tuesdays at 7.30pm on Sabrina 5 at the National Waterways Museum.
