This is a great opportunity to spend a couple of hours by the water spotting all your local birds and identifying each species.

Taking place on 15 Dec, this session is free, starts at 9am and can last up to three hours (weather depending). 

Fradley Junction supports a hive of activity on the canal, and has done over the past two centuries, with Fradley Pool becoming a special haven for wildlife.

  • Kingfishers
  • Greater spotted woodpeckers
  • Grey wagtails
  • Tufted ducks
  • Mallards
  • Moorhens
  • Nuthatches

Each session is free of charge but there is a small fee for car parking and drinks and food can be bought at the nearby café or pub. Those wanting to take part are encouraged to wear sturdy shoes and bring binoculars if they have them.
