Rickmansworth Waterways Trust
We are a heritage education charity based at Batchworth Lock in Rickmansworth and run entirely by volunteers. We provide a shop and information centre, boat rides along the Grand Union Canal, organise and run the Rickmansworth Festival, provide primary and secondary education visits and run and maintain the historic wooden narrowboat 'Roger' Our boat rides can be booked by phoning the lock centre on 01923 778382 where our fantastic volunteers can provide you with all the information.
Disability Access Information
Parking is available in the local roads after 10am or at the nearby Rickmansworth Aquadrome or Tesco. We are a short 10 minute walk from Rickmansworth Station which is served by both the Metropolitan & Chiltern Line railways. The towpath is accessible but there are a few steps to come down to the canal side. Our boat unfortunately is not wheelchair accessible but those with less mobility can still get on the boat if they can manage a couple of steps.
