Workboat / Safety / Rescue Boat provision and occupational water safety & rescue training with commercial and leisure canal boat, powerboat & rescue boat training.

‘Birmingham & Midland Marine Services’ provide both specialist water-based training and also an industrial water safety, rescue, access and support service.

Training: -

Occupational Water Safety Awareness & Rescue Training, Specialist Water Rescue Training, Commercial Skipper Training – Canal & River vessels, Powerboat Coxswain, Training – Leisure and Rescue, Leisure Vessel Training – Canal Boat & Powerboat First Aid & Boat Fire Safety

Courses are available from the relevant National Governing Bodies including;

Maritime & CoastGuard Agency, Outreach Rescue, Royal Life Saving Society, Royal Yachting Association, National Community Boats Association.

We provide specialist training for personnel working on, in, above, or near the water with a broad portfolio of specialist inland marine courses.

Programmes are available for both Skippers & Crew and also to the construction, civil engineering, rail, utilities, events, maintenance, environmental, emergency services, military, expedition and education sectors, where personnel may be deployed around our inland waterways, canals, rivers, reservoirs and lakes.

Flood, Aquatic PPE & lifejacket users’ course, Water Rescue Awareness, Water Rescue First Responder are also available to DEFRA level 2, via our DEFRA and CDM Regulations 2015 compliant courses, HSE approved training also available.

We also run a variety of courses suitable to the leisure or volunteer sectors.

Industrial Water Safety, Rescue, Access and Support

Specialising in bridge works & surveys, access and safety cover, from providing water safety training, helping employers meet their Health and Safety obligations under statutory law, life jacket and Aquatic PPE provision, work platforms such as work boats, providing bank safety cover, safety / rescue boats.

We can supply your organisation with a complete package; from training your personnel, to supplying you with vessels, equipment and advice.

Procurement and facilitation services are available on a consultancy basis.

B&MMS are Approved Contractors, Training Vendors and External Assessors to the Canal and River Trust.

We are also proud to be working in association with 'Wood, Hall & Heward' as Agents for the Midlands.
