Madeline is licensed to carry up to 12 passengers. It was purpose built by Eckington School and launched in 2014. It has a galley for serving hot and cold drinks, a toilet and large opening windows all around. A big cruiser-style stern makes getting on and off the boat easy. Access to the passenger cabin is down a short flight of steep steps. There is a large front deck.
The Chesterfield Canal Trust uses it as a tripboat and splits the income with the school. It runs walk-up trips every Saturday from April to October and on Wednesdays in the Derbyshire schoolholidays.
It is available for charter at any time of the year. It costs £45 an hour.
Passengers may have a turn at steering, under the supervision of our crew.
