Pride of Sefton
Pride of Sefton 2 was launched at Carolina Basin, Bootle, on 23rd July 2010 by Councillor Peter Dowd, Cabinet Member for Eductation and is now based on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal at Haskayne (and occasionally at Albert Dock in Liverpool - see website for details).
'Pride 2' is 60ft long and 12ft wide, with a fully heated, open plan design incorporating movable furniture for 'board room' of 'cafe-style' layout. It is ideal for a family get-together, social activities, private/business meetings, interviews, staff training, etc. (maximum 12 people).
There is a fully fitted galley consisting of a four-ringed cooker, fridge, two microwave ovens, iPod connection, crockery and cutlery, pull-down screen for presentations, two toilets (one with a wet room). The toilet has wheelchair access, there are no stairs to climb, the gangway is flat, and a ramp takes you directly onto the boat. There are menus from the canal-side pubs on board or, if you prefer, bring your own food and drink on board. We can supply tea, coffee, juice on request.
Mindful of safety, Pride 2 staff ensure that safety procedures are adhered to at all times. Pride 2 carries life jackets which are designed to fit any size, and irrespective of disability.
