A bustling little market town surrounded by the spectacular country of the Dee Valley, with the peaceful Llangollen Canal winding through it.
See the sights from a different point of view, and take a trip on a mode of transport from days gone by. You can climb aboard the historic steam railway, or travel down the canal at a relaxed pace with a horse-drawn boat trip.
For a more high-energy day out, there’s canoeing, kayaking , white-water rafting, cycling, hill-walking and rock-climbing. Concerts and exhibitions are staged in the Royal International Pavillion. Every July, the town plays host to the world-famous Llangollen International Music Eisteddfod.
