Towpath rangers

The Canal & River Trust is on the lookout for Londoners to volunteer their time and become towpath rangers.

Towpath rangers are Canal & River Trust volunteers who help us improve London’s towpaths for everyone to enjoy. Focusing on the canals in each borough, they are friendly faces who are happy to answer questions about your area, how to stay safe on the towpath and above all encourage everyone to be courteous or get involved and volunteer with us to make a difference to the canals and rivers they care about.

Volunteer towpath rangers may receive hands-on training and support, contributions towards bike maintenance and a ranger’s pack, containing everything they need to help manage the towpath in their area.
