Retaining Wall Collapse - East (upstream) Of Northgate Locks

Works have been completed.

UPDATE (19 July 2013): In the interest of public safety the towpath will remain closed. Repairs are scheduled to commence early August and are likely to be completed in approximately 2 months. The closure is between Northgate Lock 3 and the towpath access point 75 metres west of Cow Lane bridge 123E. An alternative walking route is available along the Chester City walls. This route may be difficult for cyclists. Further updates will follow as soon as available.
