The developer and CRT are improving acceess to the towpath by providing better access to the towpath with the construction of a new staircase and repairs to the retaining wall .

A towpath closure will be in place to errect the scaffolding for 5 days. Then the towpath will be accessible although restricted to 1.5m via an arch structure however boaters will not be able to access the towpath from their boat so mooring will be suspended for this period.
