Bridge 84, Misterton Railway. Chesterfield Canal

This navigation and towpath restriction notice has had to be extended for a further 2 weeks. 

The extent of the works required has increased due to further works being identified to the bridge.

The works aim to be completed by the 15th September.

Contractors working on behalf of Network Rail will be undertaking essential strengthening and repair works to the bridge abutments prior to the installation of a new bridge deck.

During these works, the contractors will be working from a floating pontoon within the navigation and within a segregated area behind herras fence panels on the towpath.

Banks-men will be available to assist through the working area, should this be required.
