Welcome to our National Waterways Museum at Ellesmere Port, home to the nation's designated collection of waterways history.

Come and savour the peacefulness of being outdoors by the canal, absorb the history emanating from the Grade II listed buildings, and learn about the lives and work of the canal people as you stroll around this seven-acre site.

Please note: We are very sorry to inform visitors that – due to unforeseen circumstances – the Island Warehouse will be closed until further notice. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes. For more information, please see our latest statement.
